News : New arrivals

Lucy Blades joins the team as Assistant Ecologist working primarily from our Kendal Office. Lucy has been working with us since 2008, helping out during field seasons. She completed her MSc at Lancaster University in 2009. Her MSc project involved a detailed study of the use of lime kilns by bats in the Forest of Bowland AONB. Lucy has a great deal of experience of bat work through her MSc, two seasons field work assisting Bowland Ecology and as a member of the East Lancs Bat Group. Lucy is pictured handling a netted bat at Sugar Loaf lime kiln in Bowland.

Elodie Russier will be joining us during spring 2010 on a student internship from the University of LilleFrance. Elodie is currently studying for a Masters in the Environment. Her placement will involve hands on experience of amphibian mitigation techniques in relation to development.
