Emma Smith, BSc (Hons), CIEEM Qualifying Member

Emma graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 2020 with a 2:1 in Geography. Prior to joining Bowland Ecology Emma was employed as a Seasonal Ecologist with Direct Ecology where she gained a range of surveying, fieldwork, assessment and report writing skills. Emma is particularly interested in Peatland, having written her dissertation on this before going on to undertake further peatland and assessment work.

Emma has also completed a Rural Skills Training Programme. Over a 20 week period she gained LANTRA Awards in Chainsaw, Crosscutting and All Terrain Vehicle Operation as well experience in fencing tree regeneration monitoring.
