Jack graduated with a degree in Zoology from the University of Manchester in 2019, having spent his 3rd year on placement with Bowland Ecology. He has subsequently undertaken Seasonal Field Work before joining us on a permanent basis as an Assistant Ecologist. Jack is particularly interested in the use of technology to support and enhance the team’s practice and has taken the lead in using thermal imaging cameras as well as 3 D printing to make components for the office and in the field. Jack undertakes all types of surveying including amphibians, reptiles, bats, badgers, riparian mammals and Phase 1 habitat surveys. He also has experience in report writing, producing maps using GIS software and taking on the role of Ecological Clerk of Works.
