Mark Breaks BSc (Hons)

Mark is a highly skilled ornithologist with extensive experience throughout the UK and overseas. Previous employment includes posts with: the National Trust as a warden, Farne Islands; the Prince Edward Point Bird Obs, Canada as a bird bander; the Steller’s Eider Project, Alaska as an assistant warden; and the RSPB as a voluntary assistant warden at Minsmere. He holds BTO Bird Ringing Permits Class C and Class A, and a Canadian Banding Permit. He became a member of Lancashire Bird Report Rarities Committee during spring 2011. Mark coordinates and undertakes the full spectrum of ornithological survey for a range of projects including powerlines and wind turbines. In addition to ornithological experience he has extensive experience of Phase 1, bat, dormouse, otter, water vole, badger, reptile and amphibian surveys and has worked extensively on licensed amphibian mitigation schemes.
