Sarah Birtley MBiolSci, ACIEEM

Sarah graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2013 with a first class MBiolSci (Hons) degree in Zoology. Prior to joining Bowland Ecology in 2014, she undertook a voluntary traineeship for the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, gaining skills in practical conservation management, protected species surveying and GIS. Sarah has a keen interest in botany and has assisted with vegetation surveys, Phase 1 habitat mapping and surveying for invasive plant species. She also undertakes a range of protected species surveys, including great crested newt, water vole, otter, badger and bats. She is trained in using MapInfo and provides GIS input for a variety of projects. Furthermore, Sarah is developing skills in bat call analysis.
