Bowland Ecology has been contracted since 2017 to review and advise upon NSIP projects for onshore grid connections to offshore wind farms in East Anglia (EAONE, EATHREE and EAHUB).   Bowland Ecology has been advising Scottish Power Renewables throughout the build phase of EAONE. The projects comprise of 35Km of onshore cable route in Suffolk and c. 14Km of cable route in Norfolk. The projects include a wide range of ecological considerations from impacts to European wildlife sites through to managing protected and invasive species issues. The scope of the commission includes a wide range of ecological surveys, mitigation design, licence holding, ECOW and technical advice throughout the life cycle of these projects.

This global award winning project received recognition by the Energy Institute for sensitive work during the development  ScottishPower Renewables recognised for industry-leading commitment to environmental protection – OrbisEnergy
